Yes I'm waiting, still.

So I haven't given in to all those streaming clips of 5x10. I just ignore all those posts, especially all those flailing about how awesome Nino's solo performance is. Amazing? hahaha... I don't know if I'm missing too much since the whole DVD has been shared by now. I'm just counting on the fact that our DVD is now shipped and SHOULD be delivered to my Ate's office by tomorrow. That is the best case scenario. If there are delays, we might get it on Monday, since Friday is a holiday. The worst scenario is that the DVD gets stuck in customs. T.T So IF these happen, I just might attempt to watch some clips XD. So much for that high EQ. lol.

More on waiting for stuff. I think I'm used to it. I'm very patient, you see. Which is why I can tolerate using this 256MB DDR2 laptop. Although sometimes it gives me problems like, every time someone attempts to chat with me in facebook, the screen temporarily freezes for about a minute before I get to read and reply to the message. XD When you shut it down, you have to wait for 10mins before you can actually use it upon turning it on again. Which is why I usually put it on hibernate (which reduces the waiting time to about 4mins XD). Sometimes my browser hangs if I load too much data. But yeah, I still like this laptop. :P

I'm also waiting for some other things, like that opportunity that I wanted to experience ever since I joined our company. Last month, at last there was that possibility. I wanted to tell everybody about it, but I wanted to wait until its confirmed and approved. In fact, I haven't told anyone outside of our group about it particularly. Well I sort of shared to a friend that I might have some exciting news soon, but the day after that I found out that it was not totally approved. So it was a downer that I had to tell her its not good news. Now, since I'm on the topic of waiting I'm sharing it with you now(without going into the specifics XD). Today there was a glimmer of hope. It got me a bit excited, but I'm trying not to get my hopes too high up. We'll never know anyway if by tomorrow they would totally reject it or make us wait longer. Still I'm counting on that fact that when it finally comes, it will be worth all the wait. ^_^

In the office, it is not new for me to create wallpapers. Since there is no internet connection allowed, this is one of my many pastimes during my training days. Eventually I decided to have a wallpaper for the month. Once the month ends I would start planning the next theme for the wallpaper. Usually it would be about what the month is, like last February it was kinda Valentine's related and last March I drew my birthday cake. But last July, I ran out of ideas. Originally, Joric (my seatmate&projectmate) suggested that I have a blank background. All white. But then I couldn't resist and just drew the kanji for Arashi in the lower left corner. So that had been my wallpaper for July.

So it is now August. My wallpaper idea? Stick with Arashi. I thought since the All the Best! Album comes out on the 19th, I would have an All the Best! / 5x10 themed wallpaper. (side story:It was even funny that I was working on the 5x10 bit of the wallpaper on Friday only to find out later that night that Arashi's new song 5x10 was already played on Arashi Discovery!!!) But come Monday, I was hesitant and scrapped the 5x10 I already made. I had another chance to work on my wallpaper today but still couldn't decide what to draw or put on it. I wanted to draw a bus similar to the cover of the RE of All the Best! but I still haven't seen a bigger version of the cover so it is really hard for me to imagine. So after drawing and deleting again and again, Joric  became my savior and said, "Gawa na nga kita ng wallpaper, naaawa na ako sayo."

All he had for a model was the button pin where the members are lying down in a circle, with the kanji of Arashi at the middle. He made a 'template' face, so all five had the same face shape and size, same eyes, nose and mouth. The only difference was the hair. In this feat, I guided him. It was really fun telling him to adjust the hairstyles to kinda fit the hairstyle of each. Since the button pin shows most of them with longer hair, I told him to draw Aiba's hair short, and then color it brown. Sho's hair had to be short too, with some bangs. When it came to the color of the skin, I specifically told him that Ohno should be really dark. He couldn't believe it when I told him to use brown since darker flesh color somehow looks too orange. After that he drew them idential scarves, which we colored accordingly. This was the ultimate distinguishing factor for each of them. Then he rotated each face+scarf so that it was configured like the button. Then he drew the kanji of Arashi at the middle. Then, voila! I now have my August wallpaper!

How I wish I could post it here, but due to security reasons, I couldn't. But even if the faces themselves do not really resemble Arashi and their hairstyles are just so-so, the wallpaper is just. ♥.

things that made my day!

(I know its my second entry in 24 hours, but I just have to ^_^)

So I came home from an OT, had dinner, and I happen to channel surf to channel V. The Playlist was on and the music video was a Korean band. I knew there was hope that I could see Arashi in that show because I once saw the last part of Love So Sweet there. So I patiently watched the music video and wished that the one controlling the playlist was an Arashi fan too. The next video was Big Bang. And then when it was ending I thought maybe a Taiwanese band will play next, and what do you know, the music video of Xin Wo (by Fahrenheit and S.H.E.) played next!!! I exclaimed "OMG SHE!" and then remembered my bum days last year when I was a Fahrenheit fan because of Hana Kimi Taiwan. I used to have that very video in my laptop and would play the song over and over again. hahahaha!!! And then another Fahrenheit song was played (from a newer album, I think), My only comment is that I think their looks have gotten more mature. And the other two members whom I wasn't interested in before somehow looked better than I remembered! In the middle of all those thoughts I hoped for the playlist to play an Arashi song next. (Because nothing would beat Arashi!) And when the song ended, guess what, ARASHI's LOVE SO SWEET PV was next!!! I immediately screamed to my ate for her to see it too! So alas, a dream of mine came true that I could watch Arashi on an actual channel in our TV. (well I saw love so sweet before, but it was only the last minute of the song, so the instance of watching the FULL PV on TV would really count as a Dream Come True <3) Hopefully I could see more Arashi PVs in the future!!!

Another thing that happened today is ArashiNino@vox adding me in her neighborhood!!! YATTA!!! This morning I sent a request along with the answers to her questions, but I was worried that she wouldn't add me because I am just new with vox and do not have that much posts there. But when I checked my neighborhood, I saw a post from ArashiNino with "Viewable by Neighborhood"!!! It made me go ~kya!!! Thank you ArashiNino!!! :D

the thing I have in common with Aiba-chan...

Sunday night I read in a translation of Aiba's Recomen (thanks to amnosxmatsujun@lj here) that Aiba-chan uses a TOTO washlet!!! When I read this I got super excited because we have TOTO washlets in my office! A TOTO washlet is a toilet with bidet, wash and dry features, and Aiba-chan was saying he could go on without any toilet paper, he just uses a TOTO washlet. Aiba-chan was even saying "You press the button and it beeps. [laugh]" which is really true. hahahaha!!! So yesterday in the office, every time I go to the restroom, I get excited because I remember that Aiba uses something like this. hahahahaha! Oo, mejo weird. pero kinikilig ako pag papasok na ako sa cubicle. :p

so I got myself a proper banner. yay!
I was in the province for the weekend thus no internet(dial-up ang meron so tinamad na ako). so I decided to make use of our old pc's photoshop and with the help of our Potato magazine and Canon camera, I was able to make this. I intended to make one that's Nino-centric, but the pics turned out to be blurred, and I didn't get enough of Nino. Because of that, when I get the time again, I will make something that's purely Nino. <3
